Hello, I wish to backup a movie I own with AnyDVD but dont know where to begin. I put the disk in my DVD drive, I open AnyDVD 5.8.2.1, then I have an option to pick 'Default', 'Order', 'Ok', or 'Cancel'. After picking 'ok' nothing happens. Can someone give me their expertise and direction? When opening the DVD folder using Windows Media Player it shows 9 titles, the largest title is composed of over 30 chapters. Is this a problem that needs to be addressed? Can I somehow combine all chapters in to one, or does that matter? Thanks!!

AnyDVD is used to remove any encryption or copy protection. To back up a copy of your own personal DVD I suggest you check out one of the guides by bbmayo which you'll find in my sig. Good luck

ok anydvd runs in the back ground to break the copy protection, thats all. there will be a red fox head at the bottom rihgt side of ur task bar. when u put the dvd in it should turn a pale red, give it a few seconds and it should turn back red. im not sure what ur trying to do with windows media player. if ur trying to back-up a dvd i would recomend clonedvd2, which is available at the same place u got anydvd.

you need a dvd copy software (clone dvd, dvdxplatinum, 1clickdvd, etc.)
anydvd will run in the backround. also leave the settings alone for best results when using anydvd.

Thank you. Yes I need to remove any encryption or copy protection first. I now have the DVD in and the fox is bright red in the bottom right task bar and On: 1, Off: 0, Empty: 0 is indicated. Details are below. Is there anything I need to do at this point? How do I know when encryption and copy protection removal is done? Is a new file created somewhere, or is the DVD being altered directly?
