Eurovox Max problem

They look ok,did you not get a little disc with the serial adapter?all i can think of is to try it on a pc with a serial port.

hi can anyone help me please i have a eurovox max i have jtagged it it works but for some reason the remote wont work i have 3 remotes none work on the box but work on my other box i have changed the batteries still no good it will change over if i use the buttons on the box but not the remotes doe any1 have any ideas please

O.K. sorted now.

The problem was my p.c. {still dont know why} i tried a clean install on a old hard drive with no programes, printers, bluetooth devices etc. got hold of a pci card for my computer {nothing} tried the USB adapter {nothing} even tried on my mates laptop {again nothing} thought it must be the cables. went down to Maplins bought a new cable and went through all the previous steps again {and nothing} hmmm

Remembered that about 12 months ago i gave a old computer away that belonged to one of my kids {the kind that is worth about £5 if you can find anyone daft enough to take it off your hands}

Called around theirs last night on the off chance that they still had it {really suprised that they had not binned it lol} borrowed it for about 10mins max, hooked it up to my eurovox and it found it straight away lol {who says technology is getting better lol}

So jobs a good un.

Would just like to say thanks to this site, not only to those that helped, but also the people who helped others {as they also pointed me in the right direction}

Now if only i could sort out how to orgonise these stations.

 

Buy the PC back for £6 Guide is in Eamos also on how to sort channels.

 

lol would have saved me a few bob from buying the extra cables, and a lot of time pulling my hair out thats for sure.

hi hope one of you guys can help ,got a eurovox max running with the new version of kuro on it my prob is i've lost some channels some music sports and film channels but not all if you know what i mean.i've done a full install with no joy so any help would be great.

try updateing you r channels that usually fixes any problems

Anyone know why the different regional BBC stations dont work?

im in n.ireland and want to watch bbc scotland, however when i turn on bbc scotland i still get the bbc n.ireland version. I tried it when the local news is on (6.30pm). I then tried the other different stations wales/yorkshire etc and they all continued to show the n.ireland version

 

you only get what your cc provides,so if they only provide bbc ni thats all you'll get.

 

Can anyone help. I have a eurovox max. It works perfect during the day but after 6pm the picture starts to flicker and then no signal appears. This last until morning.

 

Have you tried connecting the cable directly to your TV at night (eliminating the box) to see if the signal is still poor?

It may be something in your neighbourhood interfering with it at certain times or the CS themselves.

 

I have plugged the Ntl feed directly into the tv at night. The picture is perfect. It just started the last few nights.

I just wanted you to eliminate the box from the scenario to see if it was the culprit or not.

Sometimes machinery especially 3 phase can interfere with these & I wondered if it was something someone was operating locally at around the same time at night.

The fact that the quality is only disturbed at certain times at night leads me to think it can't be the box itself? otherwise it would be doing it all the time.

 

Can't figure out whats going on. It is so annoying. Do you think a booster would help?
