hi guys, Quick question, is there anyway to copy backups to backups on the cube? if you could it would save alot of time and space or, do u just store the ISO's on a dvd then use them when u need them? Thanks for any responses guys
To answer your question, no it isn't possible. The Gamecube isn't designed to have the hardware required to burn a disc, so you can't just make a backup straight to a backup on the cube itself. If all you're doing is a softmod streaming, you can always go the route of deleting the garbage data to save a good deal of space on your computer, then toss the resulting images onto a DVD collection to copy back to your computer when you want to use them again.
No i have a hardware mod (qoob pro) sorry but is the previous post related to soft mod? also sorry if i wasnt clear on the first post. basically i have backups of gamecube games and i was wondering is there anyway to do a copy from DVD drive to DVD re-writer? Thanks for the responses so far guys
I wondering if all you have to do is backup a backup the sme way you backup an official game using the Viper-Extreme. Am I correct?
Pretty much, yeah. Though, one thing you'll have to watch out for is the magnification of read errors. A few bits out of sync in your backup over the original, will carry on to the next generation of backup, along with whatever new problems might be present in the new stream.
