(Nero) Is it supposed to encode to .dat (DivX)

After doing all that needs to be done I have the DivX .avi file. Is Nero supposed to convert it to .dat? I used the audio+video.

Also, I fallowed all the instructions(I think) and ended up with a 1.75G .avi insted of a 1200mb .avi. Is that what I am supposed to have? Is that why Nero is encoding it to .dat to make it 1200mb?
