Is modchip and bigger hd at same time ok?

    Hey all. I'm comming over from ps2 installs to xbox's and I'm new, so please, don't flame. I'm installing the x3 and a 160 gig hd into a v.1 and will run slayer 2.6 after install. Is it ok to put the new hd in at the same time as the modchip? Or do I need to install the modchip first, flash, then go back and do the hd?

    install the modchip first, flash it, MAKE SURE IT WORKS. THEN install the HDD, dont be lazy.
