Hi there, I would like to author a DVD for a friend in South Africa and would like to know what would be the best resolution to encode it to that would be most widely available on DVD's there - PAL/NTSC. The person is not technically minded and I am not to hot on these issues, which is why I am enquiring here. Regards, James.
If you aren't real familiar with this format or what programs will re-encode to this format. Here is a suggestion. DVD Santa. Very easy GUI Utility. Point and click what you want then click "Create DVD". Real easy, everything is all pre-defined and clickable by selecting radio button options. Can't get any easier than that. At least that I know of.
