What make DVD ROM close by itself. Opens normally by button on front or with "eject command" from software. However, only stays open a few seconds and closes on its own whether or not a disk is inserted.
my CD R/W does that too. i think it happens when the cogs inside that drive the door open get knocked slightly off alignment so the door doesnt actually open fully (as far as the drive itself is concerned) and as you will no doubt know if you stop a drive door from opening fully it closes itself and if you stop it from closing it opens itself. theres no real way to fix this that ive ever found
Thanx. If you are ready with the disk, there's enough time to put it in. But if you have to take one out and put in another, you'd have to be extremely fast and well coordinated.
