Hello, I have an Asus A6VA laptop. The DVD recorder is a Matsushita UJ-840D which should be able to burn at 24x. I cannot burn CDs properly. Please, could you help me? Thank you! I'll give it a shot. Old version of Nero needs updating to 6.6.0.18 http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero-up.php You will need package 1 and 2 but not #3. Old version of nero is not recognizing your drive. Update should fix that. Not the best media in the world. Try some Verbatims. Never seen that one before, but it looks like it didn't know how fast to burn the disc. I couldn't find your drive listed on the firmware page. Try the Nero update, and different GOOD media.
If its an oem sony dvd ram burner its most likely a MATSHITA UJ-840S. If it is sony you may need to check there site for updates.
