    i just called freaking microsoft to ask what drive they have in their xbox's now a days and they told me they are not allowed to tell me,what kinda bs is that,im buying ur product i should know whats in it, can anyone be nice enough of telling me,what drive an xbox comes with now a days,im thinkin about getting one this weekend,can someone please tell me what drive they come with now a days

    Mine is fairly new, and it has a phillips in it. If you can open the dvd drive,

    btw try to find one with a samsung, they read the fastest,most quietly and they like the most diverse amount of media brands

    Also why I'm upgrading to the samsung616t. Mine won't play cd-r's. It's play dvd-r, cd-rw's... but not most cd-r's. Plus the 616t is about 4 times faster. Got it for 40 bucks pre-modded (plug&play) on ebay.

    wait r u gonna jsut swap ur old driv eout of the xbox and then stik ur new one in?
