Nero 7 Backup Bummer

I got Nero 7 on the recommendation that the backup was new and great. However, on examination, it appears that it won't back up the active partition. So, if you don't dual boot or have multiple OS'es you can't back up and have no way to preserve your OS. Sounds like misleading advertising to me, or am I missing something?
