    Very new to DVD Burning. I just picked up a new machine it has a DVD burner installed (DVD+R). What is the best software to use to make this the least complicated?

    Thanks in advance.

    You will have to be a little more specific as to what you want to do. ie back up DVDs or burn files from downloads etc. Are the DVDs copyprotected etc.

    I apologize. I want to burn-copy movies. Protected or not.

    I've just downloaded DVD Shrink. As I was trying to make an .iso file out of my movie I got this error:

    DVD Shrink Encountered and error and cannot continue

    Failed to read file "E:\"

    Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

    Any help Please

    CRC, or cyclic redundancy check means that the disc is dirty or damaged. This can also happen with brand new discs too! Give the disc a clean & give it a whirl!

    One of the most popular combos to use is CloneDvd2 & AnyDvd. There are not many apps out there that will beat them. here's the link;

    As pulsar said or you can download AnyDVD free trial for 21 days (for removing copy protection) and then DVD Shrink, here you can take out any parts you dont want. You can also compress any longer movies to fit to a standard DVD5.
    You also check out the links in my sig.

    I've never eally got on with shrink, I much prefer the killer capability of CloneDvd2 & AnyDvd. I realise that you have to pay, but it is well worth it in the long run! I find CloneDvd2 much more user friendly & will easily overcome newer protections that Shrink will not.
