Firmware Problem

    Hey im looking for the latest firmware on MATSHITA UJ-840D burner, could any1 please point me in the right direction in obtaining it . Thanks again!

    As Bestmiller said, you can update firmware from link he provided however I was unable to find 840D...only 840S...did you type correct model.

    Yeah i had the same problem thats why i came here for further advice. but thanks you guys for your time really appreciated

    Hey, i tried to install it but im not sure how it all works . isit firmware? can i use dvd decrypter once installed? and how do you install it correctly getting error everytime

    What exact error are you receiving? And yes, once installed you can DVD Decrypter.

    Erm just saying it cannot excute file. how exactly do u install it? through the Setup icon??

    Is the name of your firmware called, "MatshitaOEM.rar", if so, then you need a program called WinRAR to unzip it. BTW, this is the only firmware for this drive.

    I hate to break this to you, but Matshita drive are amongst the worst drives out there, they cannot be set to be region free with any software, and one gets very little support from Matshita.

    What is the reason for getting a firmware update?

    Lol yeah i noticed that mate when i was researching about this drive pretty sucks :(. Erm i wanted to upgrade because when i was trying to burn my ps2 back ups i was constantly getting errors and wasting like 3 discs before it would actually copy
