Does anyone know where xbox live draws the line on hardware mods. I bought a samsung616t dvd drive for my box, and was told it shouldn't affect live. Well, I was starting to wonder.. "Will a newer, bigger, faster HD affect it?" If not, will storing games that I actually have on the HD? Will a new dashboard?

To play games on xbox live you have to have the original game disc. installing a new bigger HD is not possible without a modchip.(correct me if im wrong). playing games of the HDD is not possible if you modchip is off. you have to turn it off or you will get banned before you can say banned.

you can NOT play any burned DVDs nor games from the harddrive on xbox live.

You can get on xbox live if you coldboot (softmod) or turn off your modchip (hardmod) and not get banned :)

you can have a 500gig harddrive and as long as you do as said above you shouldn't get banned :p
