I cannot add transitions (fades, wipes) when authoring a DVD photo slide show as they will not preview on the small Nero Vision monitor. The program will immediately default to the opening Nero screen and you have to start over again. The photos can be previewed without the Nero transitions. I also cannot understand why a Nero Vision 3 screen appears on their preview monitor when Nero Vision 4 is supposed to be packaged with the program. I have updated Nero Ultra 7. I have a feeling this program was rushed to market without sufficient beta testing. Any help will be appreciated.
If yours shows vision 3 instead of vision 4 there is something wrong with your installation. Maybe you didnt get older version uninstalled right before installing version 7. With version 7 it should look like this and it works flawless for me.
I had the problem when I tried to upgrade from 6.6 without uninstalling. Uninstall old versions and then install 7 and I had no difficulties.
I have tried to download the Nero Clean tool but the links appear dead. I'll uninstall the program, remove anything that resembles Ahead or Nero and start again. Thanks for the tips.
Still no success. I uninstalled Nero 7 and cleaned the computer then reinstalled Nero 7 with their retail discs. The Nero Vision 3 preview monitor still appeared on the Nero Vision 4 program. Slides (photos)worked but again the added transitions did not. I then installed the Nero 7 update/upgrade. That successfully changed the Nero Vision previewer to Nero Vision 4. Again, the slides alone can be previewed. When transitions are added, no preview is possible (you are kicked back to the opening Nero screen). I have disabled the firewall and virus checker. I am running XP, 512 ram 1.6 ghz and have about 20 gb of free HD space. No other programs are running at the time. I have sent a info tool file to Nero for their evaluation.
