UNINSTALL HALO2 MAP PACK ON 360!!!

I have the problem on most Halo2 maps on my 360, showing portions of the map faded in various locations while playing live. In the left upper corner area, the map will not be there. It's like it's faded or that maybe the map didn't get loaded fully. I don't know what it is. I talked to xbox 360 customer support and technical support and all they can tell me is to erase the Halo2 portion in the profiles and then reinstall the map pack. I don't really want to do that because of the many gamer profiles I have made on it! Can anyone tell me if there is a easier way to uninstall the map pack and then reinstall it? I mean the original xbox was easy to uninstall and reinstall. Why not the 360?
