ok i wanted to remod my xbox then i rebooted my xbox error message 13 came up i have to linux isntaller on my xbox but not linux profile(i used splinter cell) is there a way i could get my dashboard back?
Well then... this is not good. You will probably need to use xbox hdm or install a hardmod (modchip).

You take out your pc's harddrive and put in your xboxes new harddrive (replacement one) temporarily. then you boot up your computer and the xboxhdm boots up from a disc you put in your pc.
ps. the cheapest modchip is a softmod, but if you wanted a hardmod don't worry about price, go for a really good quality chip like an Executer 3 etc.
I think that you can just rebuild your old harddrive if you want to, but if you want to store games on your harddrive you would need a bigger one to store a decent amount of games. You could just copy the games from your stock harddrive to a disc though.
A special pc programme that boots from your disc drive while your xbox hd is in your pc. It reformats it however you tell it to.
