Convert *.avi to *.vob and then get PLAYBACK PROHIBITED BY AREA LIMITATIONS

    I convert the avi file and create VOB files and
    Ifo........etc.....etc.....etc.....

    start burning the dvd (everything seems fine to this point) but when I play it on my dvd player I get

    "PLAYBACK PROHIBITED BY AREA LIMITATIONS"

    I'm so frustrated I'm about to throw this machine out the window

    I use dvd infoedit to verify that the vob is in the NTSC format, and all regions are enabled.

    Any help?

    I think your DVD player is confused by having all the regions enabled. The disc should be burnt as region free.

    Other dvd's I have burned, have had all the regions enabled. I thought all of them being enabled does mean region free.
