Been making DVD's for about 3 years. Everything I learned came from this forum. I upgraded to Nero 7 and all my problems began. Posted a log and did all that was suggested with no luck. I installed an exta 512mb of memory, formatted harddrive and reinstalled XP and SP2 with all the updates.Used Nero clean tool and went back to latest version of Nero 6. My disc burns either fail, or shows burn successful, with NO data on disc. about ready to get out the hammer. Can post another log if anyone wants to lok at it Thanks

hi sorry a tad late, can't see alot wrong there, media is fine, the burn speed is fine. plenty of room from edge of disc. the only thing i can see is DMA is off, needs to be on, fix here http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/dvdguide005.html will ask creaky to have alook
hiya...great thread title LOL - i think that's one of those virtual drives so DMA's not needed for that one - very nice discs, and just did some digging, whilst i can't tell from your post whether you are having trouble with the discs on standalone players/PC/or both, if you're gonna use +R discs you should always booktype them ie they'll show up as 'dvd-rom' format to standalone players ie fools the standalone into thinking it's playing a shop-bought movie did a little digging and this burner definitely supporting booktyping - - well the disc's definitely not being left 'open', ie it's being finalised therefore there's no reason for disc to show up as having no data after writing - whilst Nero 7 doesn't report ATAPI drivers in this section, Nero 6 most definitely should, so fix via this - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm
Thanks for the replies. Out of frustration I switched back to my Pioneer DV-R105. all problems gone exceptt what to do with the 90 Verb DVD+R's the DVD+R-DL's and the DVD+Rw's I got at Sams. Oh well live and learn. Not sure how to do the booktype in Recode. Wife has a NEC ND-2100A DVD+RW drive and am trying with Shrink right now. To see what happens. Will let you know if you want.
