Hi,
The list that I have is one that I have compiled from different sources. But these are games that you can copy on to a cdr. I have swap magic discs and a fliptop. This combination works extraordinarily great. You just have to copy the games track at once and you can play. I don't think the swap magic discs work with ripped games because I haven't tried it yet.

Telescope, I think you should go for the Magic 3.1. The only reason to get a swap disc solution, is if you don't want to solder yourself or if you think it's to expensive to have it done by someone else. In your case you got a great deal. Go for it! :D

Hi,
All of the games that are on the list are cd-rom based. NONE of them are dvd based. So if you pop one of the games in your computer, you can burn an exact copy of that game on a cdr. I think Magic 3.1 is a great solution. I didn't get it because, I really don't know how to solder and I couldn't find anyone to do it for me.
Can anyone please tell me if the swap magic discs work with pal and jap original games and pal backups.
THANKS!

Just a thought about Fifa 2002... Maybe the Europe version is on DVD while the US version is on CD?
Many games in Europe are in more than one language, so it's more likely that those version are on DVD.
Could you please make a mark if a game is PAL or NTSC version?
Btw, I don't know if this applies to all Playstation originals, but I've noticed that all the CD games I've got are blue underneath, while the DVD games are silver.

Hi,
All of the games I have listed are NTSC. Maybe one or two are PAL but I'm fairly positive that all of them are NTSC.
Thanks

Hi,
Ok I don't want to argue. Fifa 2002 is DVD based. But the rest of them are cd based.

I hate to bring up an old thread, but I thought that I'd note that Jak and Daxter is a DVD game, not CD. No big deal. Maybe someone might find this useful.

Do you know which games are PAL? Pls state them. If a NTSC game is CD based, is it likely the same game in PAL format is CD based? Do they sell CD based games in the UK?

If anyone isn't sure if the PAL version of the above games are also CD-based, refer to this site: http://covertarget.com/ct/2/a.htmlIt provides you with PS2 covers. All you have to do is click on a back cover and look at the bottom to see if the game is CD or DVD based.
Hope this helped.
PS. Anyone know where i can get hold of "Bloody Roar 3" in the UK?

Jmoney & cheib, does your copy of 'the sims' work fine? Did u have to patch it or bypass any kind of protection, or did you just do a straight 1:1 copy? Because I'm thinking of backing up 'the sims' which is cd based. (PAL)

Is there a list of what games won't work with the flip top lid? I have a backup of Bomberman Jetters and I get the blue border, but the game never loads up.
I'm thinking of getting a Magic 3.1 installed, because it's less hassle and doesn't require any swapping. Would I be able to have a Magic 3.1 and leave on the flip top?
