riplock???

    how can you tell if a dvd burner is riplocked?

    Most all are except Plextor which has tools to increase the speed.

    Your welcome and good luck. If looking for a new burner I suggest the BenQ1640 or BenQ1655 burner. Do a forum search for them to read what others have been saying.

    The BenQ DW1640 (and from what I understand, the DW1650), are NOT riplocked ... in fact, according to the good folks at CDRinfo:

    Well I'm not just in love with my BenQ1640 burner, I think I want to mate with it now!!! LOL
