Hey there, Bit of a newbie so please bear with me, but I've read the FAQs and tried a variety of suggested fixes but nothing seems to address the specfic problem I have. Every video I play, be it an xvid avi or an mpeg or anything else plays back extremely brightly and grainily. I've checked the videos with gspot and avicodec and it says I have the codecs installed. I have never installed a codec pack, just the codecs I thought I needed. I've uninstalled all the codecs, tried ffdshow, same thing happens. Tried vlc media player on its own, same thing again. I'm beginning to think this may be a hardware issue. Any suggestions/pointers would be gratefully recieved. Hex
