I have some cheech and chong movies that i downloaded and they are image files i used clone dvd and they burnt fine but i cant watch them they say no play back when you put them in the dvd player please someone help me
Hi baby_grl. I have a couple of questions that may help me fine-tune my suggestions to you. I assume the files you downloaded were avi files? Did you convert these files to a typical DVD structure before burning?
no i didnt do anything to the files they were in structure i thought i just mounted the files to daemon tools and burnt it to the disc
It almost sounds to me that the files you downloaded most likely need to be converted to a DVD format. Torrents and other P2P applications have a lot of DivX, AVI, and xVid files that may play well on a PC with the proper codecs. However, DVD players may not recognize these files. Take a look on the DVD that you had problems with. You should have a Video_TS folder which contains VOB files. If you don't have these files, then what you burned is not in a recognized DVD format. Many people use a program called DivxToDVD to convert Internet movie files to a DVD format. Free version: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm Commercial Version: http://www.vso-software.fr/products/divxtodvd/divxtodvd.php Others use WinAVI to convert Internet movies. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/winavi_video_converter.cfm I use DivxToDVD commercial and it does a great job. It's worth the money and they have a 10% discount going on now. I hope this helps...

cougar_ii, trust me I will purchase v2 as soon as it comes out. VSO did a fantastic job on v1.99.24. Not only is it extremely easy to use, but DivxToDVD has converted anything I imported without a single problem.
