I am new to this, so If I am in the wrong area, I apologize. Can someone please tell me how I can cut a couple scenes out of some dvds I have gotten on my HD. Thanks for any help

DVDRemake is a good editing app and easy enough for novices to learn to use. They were working on a guide the last time I checked. http://www.dimadsoft.com/
Another good program is VobBlanker, you can have VobBlanker to "blank out" certain scenes/pgcs/cells or you can easily "cut" certain scenes that you don't want to keep. Afterall, it's FREE anyways, here http://members.aol.com/posunplugged/jsoto/VobBlanker_2100_exe.zip Additionally, it can PROCESS and easily filter out craps/junks (ie fake/bad cells, pgcs or encrypted sectors) what was inserted into the original dvds.
Speaking of blanking things out, did you know that you can edit out things in Shrink in Full Disc - Backup with Still Image in Compression Settings and keep a functional menu? That's only in 3.2.
