Hello. I just bought a new JVC MiniDV camcorder. Now, I am not happy at all with the quality of the video. I used Movie Edit Pro 10 and Nero to capture and burn. During capture the quality was "digital-like" and the playback was "jerky" at times. When I burned it the same was the case.

I am using a firewire with this. I will return this camera if I cannot get it straightened out soon.

Does anybody have any advice they could give. I am recording my son's basketball and wrestling matches and I am just very upset with the quality. Would cleaning the heads make any difference even though it is new? I also read that the firewire cable does not matter as far as quality goes.

Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!
