My computer doesn't recognize blank DVDs for some reason. I recall it used to though. Also I tried a system restore to see if that helps but when its finished rebooting it says Windows couldn't restore to that particular point. What should I do?

You posted this thread in DVD-ROM. Is this what you have or are you referring to a DVD+/- Drive?

What is the make and model of your drive?

I'm on another computer now and it has a DVD Burning drive. Its a Double Layer 8x DVD+/-RW drive. It recognizing the blank DVD as a blank CD.
