computer not starting up

    I have a packard bell
    model IMED 5069
    which has been working well untill this morning when i switched the computer on it started as normal, however as soon as it reach the windows screen with the loading bar it just kept restarting , then it came to the screen which said that i could start it in safe mode and 2 other options of which i tryed all 3. it just started to restart again if anybody could give me some advice on how to fix this problem or somewhere i could look to fix this i would be very greatful

    I'm assuming one of those options was to boot to "Last good configuration" and that failed. It could be a couple of things (possibly) wrong. First, try to boot with the O/S disc in and use it to fix errors. You may have to go into DOS mode and set the CD/DVD drive as the primary boot device. From there, once saved and rebooted, you should load directly to the disc with an option to repair any missing or damaged files.

    Do you get any error messages?

    try reseating the ram as that has happened to me on some customers' computers.
