I am looking for a aftermarket heat sink for my computer that is the best!

I will probably eventually overclock to 2.4GHz

    I have the AMD 64 X2 3800+ CPU

    and Gigabyte K8U-939 motherboard.

A friend has this heat sink and recommended it

now when i got zalmans manufacturer site it has this in green words
    for my motherboard
this is the link to see the page

I have no idea what this means, could someone please tell me?

Also, please recommend any other heat sinks for my computer.

I am assuming that it is a cpu overheating problem on the cpu b/c it keeps locking up. I have a box fan on it right now with the case open to see if it is the problem. I posted this in case it is the problem i can order the part soon after i verify it.

if you want a kick ass cooler then you should go for the "Asetek Vapochill Micro" it will keep your cpu extremely cold even when extremely overclocked as it has refridgerant inside the heatsink which evaporates and cools inside.

ive heard that you can keep an overclocked intel xeon running at 30 celcius which is pretty amazing when you concider that intels run hotter than AMD so youd get even better results from using this on an AMD cpu

That cooler looks nice and turns my head. Has R134A inside the pipes, a refrigerant.

    Does it fit socket 939 AMD 64 X2 3800+ ?
I do not see where it says it does.

I looked at these reviews, and the only thing bad about be the high end was it runs a little hotter than the extreme is a little loud.

Should i go ahead and get extreme or just stay with the high end due to noise?

I am going to get the zalman from newegg, this model
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835118119

It does not go over 27dba at full speed and runs at 17dba when it is on silent mode, The vapochill micro had that it did not fit Gigabyte K8 motherboards posted on the net, and it is at 27dba at low speed and <40 dba for the extreme performancem, and leass than 37dba for high end.

One of the guys that suggested zalman to me has one of the AMD 64 bit single core processsores overclocked from 2GHZ to 2.4GHZ and the zalman fan runs at low speed all the time.
