Yeah...the only thing I know is that you have to use XBMC (Xbox Media Center) to play movies...I've never done it, but thats all I know :(

that is one thing i am actually new to as well.
can't wait to see the answer as i have not been able to get
my XBMC to find the movie files that i put in my Video folder.
Then again i do not know which folder it is looking in.
I put an AVI movie on there and it had no problem finding that one.
But i can not seem to get it to find the VOB type regular
movie file format. Someone should write a tutorial on this one.

I used this thing called DVD2Xbox or something like that... I got it off of Auto Installer Deluxe (the biggest file i have ever downloaded.) AID comes with so many files for your xbox. If you get it... I couldn't download halo 2 onto my xbox... you would probably need a bigger hard drive for any good dvds

Yep...to put any dvd's on your xbox, I would recommen having a much larger hdd than the stock hdd...since its only about 5 gb and most of its taken up by game saves and what not.

ok, well that much i already have. Mine is 300GB so space
is not a problem. Now what i need to know is what format
should the movie be in? Will an ISO work?
Or does it need to be in the VOB standard type of file?
And why are they not recognized by my XBMC.
I copied it to my F: folder into the video folder.
The F: is where all my games and apps are.
should the be in C: or something. Or will it only recognize
    certain file types like ISO?
