I've just recently bought Nero 7. And I went to Nero Product Setup, and I went to update the Nero Products. As I did it comes up with this message:- nps: an unsupported operation was attempted. Then after that it comes up with this please tell Microsoft about this problem browser. And it mentions something like MSI starter has encounted a problem. What the hell is going on here. I do know you can go to the Nero website to download the update, but instead of the update updating over the original copy of Nero, it installs a completely new one. And it says Nero Demo, not Nero Ultra Edition.
I was looking at the various Nero 7 install error posts and this one sounds like yours, but may not be. Try some of the stuff they did. It seemed to fix the problem for most ppl. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/270524 also, the demo and ultra are the same thing. Once you put in your paid for serial number (burning symbol on start screen shows serial numbers, just click on enter new, and put the paid for number in there), it is supposed to unlock everything hidden in the Demo version. It may still say demo in add/remove programs, but it is the real thing, not a demo.
