I am currently looking at getting a Sony HC32 or a Canon ZR200. Does anyone have any feelings towards one over the other. Any pro/cons from any of the major companies? I am looking to spend $500 or less. I tried the MiniDVD and hated the format. I couldn't edit at all. It was a huge headache. I hear MiniDV is the way to go. Thanks for your input.

You are right about DVD cams. They are a headache if you want to do a lot of editing. Check out the other thread you started, for an answer to your question.

I just picked up two Sony HC96 from dbuys.com for 600 each.
they are 3.3 Megapixels and work awesome. Also have a HC42 at 1 mp.
