burn setting 2 or max ?

    hi,i ihave a liton digatil max 16x dvdrw ,nero 7 premium .when i put in a 16x ridata disk it only lets me select 1 2 or max, it will burn at 16x on max but i whant to be able to use 4,6,8,12,or16x, also did this useing 16x memorex, is there a way to fix this. thanks for any help you can give me. xbill

    Make sure your firmware is up to date, until then burn at 2X.

    i have the up dated FW stell no go .

    i have imgburn ,i run it through shrink then iwould like to be able to use nero at 4.6.8.12 16, i can get a 8,12,or 16x, if iput in a copyed disk, and go disk to disk then i can select speed ,but i don't need to 2copys,i don't think imgburn will do files,

    Imgburn will burn an ISO file, which is what DVD Shrink creates. After clicking backup in DVD Shrinks main page, a new window will pop up. In the first screen is where you choose your target, in the drop down menu select ISO image file or (if you have DVD Decrypter or Imgburn setup to burn the ISO file) ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter.

    Also, before you try the burn with Imgburn or DVD Decrypter, the last tab is called Burn Settings...you can select your burn speed under this tab, see if you have more options than with Nero alone.

    Tanks for the info, i will try it, i was able to use burn setting in nero express, but not with dvd rom the burn settings 1 or 2.4x what i liked was useing shrink it would go stright to nero and burn but it would burn at max 16x . xbill
