Most of the time I try burning DVD's my computer will come up with this "Power Calibration Error" I have updated the firmware. But it seems that it has done no good. Sometimes though as long as I try over and over again, I can get it to burn a DVD. But it usually comes up with an that error. Can someone tell me at least if it's my blank DVD's. I think that they might be a cheap brand DVD. Thank you, seanbob91
That error is either firmware out of date, or the media you are using. Most of the time it is a combination of the two, but bad media is the main culpret. Try using Verbatim, or Taiyo Yuden hiding under Sony, Fuji, Maxell, all must say made in japan to get the Tys. Here is what Nero says about that error Try different GOOD media, and your version of Nero may be behind also, so update to the latest version.
I was getting that error some years ago now in the end it was the ide cable also make sure you use a ultra dma cable 80 conduct i think they call them that also if you can connect your dvd-rw on its own that helps hope that helps like they said crap disk are also one of the reason you can get that error goog luck...........
