    LOL. I have a set that Id like to split into tracks per a cue sheet. Rather than using a different program is there a way of having SF 8 do this for me. I have tried doing a region split but am getting lost. Again, I have the cue sheet but really dont want to cut the tracks out manually! Thanks yo!

    as far as I know, sound forge doesn't read cue files...its just a basic audio editor...not an mp3 splitter. two decent mp3 splitter programs are mp3 surgeon and mp3 splitter & joiner.

    also, if you just wanted to ask Jeanc1 a question, just PM her next time...

    @soc3558

    There is no features in SoundForge that would replace your own manual dexterity to do this ! Cue sheets are normally just instructions used to organize a burn of Raw data.

    You could possibly make a script file in SoundForge that would look for silences in between each pieces -- however this would have to be a critical and meticulous task before it would be usable !

    Your only solution in SoundForge is to hand pick each portions and copy/paste to a NEW window !

    Next time you want to draw my attention to one of your post -- <<smiles>> just PM me the URL of the thread you have started. -- as it says under my signature I do not answer Private messaging request for technical help cause it would be unfair to other people in this Forum.

    My free time for this Forum is limited as I have also a few more forums where I am actively involved - so be patient !

    Have a great day !

    P.S. -- The suggestion by djscoop could be an avenue you should consider.

    This is what I ended up doing. I just cut each region time from the cue file and pasted to a new window. This works well!

    I understand your time is limited and wasnt sure how I should "call you out" You seem to be quite proficient with SF amd I like your advice to others! Thanks again!

    djscoop, what do you spin? I used to spin trance and tribal. Now I just play around with loops for fun and extend/mix my Mp3 collection. Thank you as well for you time. You have been helpful many times in the past with DVD burning/"authoring".

    Good Day Guys!

    I actually haven't DJ'd in a few years now. Currently I am an audio instructor at a local college in LA and I also do sound recording for TV shows and feature films here and there in my free time.

    I never really spun, although I always wanted to learn. I had a pretty bitchin' setup though. In my mobile cart I had a computer with dual soundcards, and I ran two separate winamps, then used my external mixer to crossfade between the two. I had two dual 15" JBL towers, and two 18" yamaha subs, all powered by Carver amps.

    I mainly did weddings...they were the best gigs in my opinion. It was the same old songs over and over again, everybody was always in a good mood, they pay was great (averaged $1500 a night!) and best of all...open bar!

    I too love trance, though I haven't listened to in much recently. I love Yomanda, Ferry Corsten, Sandra Collins, and so on.

    haven't made any of my own yet. I used to play around with Acid Pro DJ, Reason, and other loops programs, but I never really created anything...
