Need help with a game problem

i bought f.e.a.r. and i installed it but whenever i put the disc in the autorun crashes and whenever i click the icon to play it it says "A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed." Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? any help would be appreciated.

 

did that warning come from a security program,windows or the game itself?

 

Its a security program on the game it self. After the game installs and you try to run it the first time it will do a scan to make sure you have a legit copy then you have to reboot the computer for the game to work.

 

ive never encountered such a security program like that. but try reinstalling the game.

 

hope it all worked out...are you running the game from cd? or from virtual cd/

i have the original disc and it worked fine when i reinstalled it lol i feel like a total noob. thanx for the help

 

hey, no problem. it gets alittle confusing around here with all the possible solutions to problems. just remember not to overlook the simple things. alot of the times they are the solutions.
