Hello all I have been burning for about 2 years now, had all the issue problems, so i consider myself very smart with dvd burning. but this one really baffels me. i use only sony or maxell dvd r disks, only, but lately i started having a pausing problem with my backups, the disks dont skip, just a second pause, and the funny thing is it seems to only happens when there is a scene in the movie that is fading out.very odd to me, flightplan, 58.00 minutes into it a 1 second pause as the scene fades to black. ever happen with any one ? i burn at 4x with nero, sony or maxell only, -r or +r either of great.
You're smart, you use Sony and Maxell +/- R media, and you have a pause. If you read much around here, you'll notice people have had everything from a pause to a system crash. By the way, with those two brands, the media can be anything from top of the line Taiyo Yuden to coaster material, CMC. Did you check to see if there was a pause in the original source? If not, then the software is suspect if you're doing everything else right and the equipment and media are doing their part. You neglected to say anything about the software you're using or the equipment you're doing the work with. What is the manufacturer code of the media you noticed the pause on?
