I downloaded a few audio files from the internet & burnt them on a cd-r (using Nero 6), which is fine, untill I downloaded a file with .rm sextension, which cased a problem for Nero, says it does not recoganize the file format. I tried other audio file program like SF8 etc, without luck. When I double click on the file I can play it using real media software. So what is this file format, can i convert to MP3 or how else can I burn this file.?

Thanks, I will try what has already been suggested, and next time will start to use search first. Just getting a little lazy at times. But I do appreciate your expertise in this area.
