problem with Movie Collector software

I'm having a problem adding movies to my Movie Collector. I had purchased a product key awhile back, but I don't have it anymore. I recently reinstalled my operating system and I transfered my movie collector to a disc. When I click on it to open it from my disc its the full version. When I copy and paste it to my harddrive it still remains the full version. But when I add a movie its getting an error that it cant find the file directory as listed. On the directory it adds- pearl.exe. at the end of it??? I think if I can eliminate that from the ending it will work. No matter where I put my Movie Collector (HD or Desktop, ETC.) it has- PEARL.EXE at the end of the directory. Any help would be great because I dont have my license key anymore! thanks
