burning dvxi in its divx format.

    can anybody advise how to burn divx format and what type of media to use cd or dvd. i just bought a dvd players which plais divx and mpeg movies
    anybody thanks

    I would recommend using DVD format, primarily because many DVD players which will support the home made DVD+r might not support MPEG/Divx read.

    Divx (AVI) movies needs to be converted first to DVD format.

    Best app for high quality AVI->MPEG conversion is TMPGEnc (TMPGEnc Xpress is my fav.)

    After encoding in TMPGenc one must author the files to make them compatible in DVD player. To do that, either TMPGenc author or DVDLab (my fav.) can be used. They will also allow for menu creation.

    TMPGenc is very high quality and not expensive.

    You can use the guide by alkohol in my sig., also does Divx.
