Everytime I try to save a picture it automatically saves it as a bitmap file when the link to the picture says it's a jpeg file. Is there anything I can do in particular to always save a file as a jpeg and not bitmap? We all know bitmap files are larger than jpegs. I have Windows XP. If not, then is there a freeware program that converts bitmap files to jpegs. Thanks in advance.

[bold]Delete[/bold] the temporary Internet files. To do so, click Tools,---> Internet Options, ---> the General tab, then click the Delete Files button.

Now go back to Internet Options, ---> the Advanced tab, click to clear the Do not save encrypted pages to disk check box, click View, and then click Refresh. The Do not save encrypted pages to disk check box is under the Security tab.

Finally click START ---> RUN and type in :-

    [bold]regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll[/bold] <<OK>>

    [bold]regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll[/bold] <<OK>>

    Have a great day !
