Hello Everybody, hope all is well

I've just burnt Land of the Dead via Fab decrypter to my Hardrive. I then opened Shrink to add the files. I first clicked on Re-author and then the video ts of the movie but the only files which show on Shrink was the title menus which are 20 seconds. The file on my Hardrive is 7.19mb so the movie is definately there. Any suggestions? Thanks to everyone

7.19 mb is to small for a movie that is the title menus when you open shrink and click on open files a box will come up look for the entire movie it may be called C video or something similar highlight it and click ok shrink will open the file then you can reauthor it

You might be running in to a ripguard or sony arcoos protection. If you try VOB blanker, it will take care of that for you. Look at this thread, and follow the instructions for using VOB blanker. Blanker added something like 5-10 extra minutes to the normal rip process. It is a completely free program. It goes thru and takes out all the bad crap the pinheads put in there to keep anyone from copying a disc. You don't have to know anything about blanker to use the program. Give it an input and output folder and hit Process tab. That's it.

the thread linked has links to the download site for VOB Blanker.

Hi Maxburn, firstly thanks for the info. Unfortunatly by using VOB Blanker didn't work either. Neither Decrypter or Shrink could recognise the files. I've tryed playing the movie and its all there just seems to be crypted, jumps around, blotchy patches.

Dont give up yet. Lets try something. For this we will use DVD Decrypter, ill link you to it, (get it while you still can).

We are going to re-rip the movie, dont even try those other ones you have of the movie.
For the VOB Blanker method, make sure AnyDVD, DVD43, or region free is [bold]NOT[/bold] on. A rip with these on, may give you corrupted info as we are going to use DVD Decrypter for the rip and we don't want anything else messing with the files.
Put the original movie in drive.
Open DVD Decrypter use mode File F.

I didn't have the movie in the drive on that picture, just showing the buttons to click on.
Once Decrypter has extracted the files, use Vob Blanker on the files to get rid of the anti-copy stuff.

I didn't change any setting in blanker or anything like that. Just used program as it was downloaded.
Open the Blanker processed files with Shrink, or Nero Recode2, or CloneDVD2, and it should work. Unless the original disc is a bad press, but then you usually get CRC read errors and never get files to HD. Post back if that didn't work. And its land of the dead you were working on? I did that one a month or two ago, but i was using AnyDVD, not VOB Blanker. Blanker is supposed to work on ALL the new anti-copy gimmicks.
