I have a huge music file on one track. I need to separate each song by track and burn the ones I want.
I went into Wave Editor and inserted track splits where I want them and saved them as track numbers.

I can play the individual tracks using real player, etc., but when I get ready to burn them, it cannot recognize the file type, which it saved automatically as an MPEG-4 file.

    What am I doing wrong?

What program are you trying to burn them with?

Also, when your done editing the large file into smaller ones, use SAVE AS... instead of save. (This is in WaveEditor). Save as... allows you to pick a format to save the file in. I would recommend .wave or .wav format. It will be a larger size file, but should burn with just about any program.

    Thanks again, dolphin2. You're everywhere!

You are right. I finally decided to save it as an mp3 and Roxio accepted it. I might try a .wav file also.
