i'm currently trying to back up dragon ball z,broly- the legendary super saiyan.but each time i try to decrypt it i get a pop up.the pop up occurs at 97 percent decrypted when i try dvd decrypter or dvdfab.the pop reads as; I/O eror device:[1:0:0] tss tcorp cd/dvd ts-h552b tso4 (d (ata) scsistatus: 0 x 02 interpretation: check condition cdb: 28 00 00 21 ce d9 00 00 01 00 interpretation: read (10)- sector:2215641 sense area: 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0a 00 00 00 00 11 05 00 00 00 00 interpretation: L-EC uncorrectable error is this just a bunch of computer talk to say the disc is damaged or do i got a problem with my burner? recently me kids got into my computer.they took a blank dvd and my backup of flightplan and shoved them in my burner.flightplan was on top with the burnt side down so when i took them out i guess my burner tried to read the wrong side of the dvd and i'm guessing melted the adhesive or something.the dvd was kind of discolored and it spread were you touched it.there was no burns or anything dripping or anything like that.anyway enough of me rambling on does anyone out there recognize my problem?if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate any time and effort.and just for further notice since the incident with my burner and kids i have backed up 2 dvd's so i'm leaning towards dammage on the dvd or maybe just a bad print. thanks to anyone who answers blaise

Hi I would start by updating your firmware, it's way out of date: Latest version is ts11, get it here: http://www.samsungodd.com/Lib/popup...ad&fname=200511281418147101_TS-H552B_TS11.BIN
i have already sent out for another copy so i got to play the waiting game for a couple of days, but thanx for the feedback. to permiggs i tried that link but my cpu won't open the file. i get the 'doesn't recognize the source pick a program to open with or let window do it automaticaly wich niether one gets me nowhere. is there another site i can get it from? and also what exactly is the tso4 or ts11? i know some simple basics of the whole back-up process but i would like to get my feet wet a bit further if you don't mind.
Go here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php Any firmware will be there... Here's another site: http://www.disc-info.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=35 Firmware provides your burner with media updates or it can even unlock functions like booktyping, etc...
