So i have this virus on my comp called adsmart and it took over my desktop and asked me to buy its software. I tryed everything mutliply virus scans but nothing i know where the files are when i delte them they just come right back.... PLEASE HELP???????????
reinstall windows.... that virus is a real bitch to get rid of. i had it myself recently (thanks to my sister). i booted into safe mode did a spyware scan which found a removed the spyware (at least thats what i thought), when i restarted the computer it had got worse and taken over my desktop. system restore wont work, spyware and virus protection wont work. the only way around it that i found (without spending a long time manually going through the registry and deleting all references to the malware) was doing a full clean install of windows
Just download a trial of Ewido -- and run it in Safe Mode ! Adsmart will be gone ! you may be infected by SpySheriff though that is a different story -- you will have to run another set of tools to get rid of everything then. http://www.ewido.net/en/
