can anyone tell me where to get the firmware for matshita uj-811t. i'm having a problem witht he power calibration error. and i'm hoping that updating the firmware will do the trick.
Switching the media can also help. Which brand are you using? Make sure you are using the quality stuff like Taiyo Yuden or verbatim.
i'm not sure on the brand but i think the manufacturer id on it says nanya. i've been trying to google the firmware for matshita uj-811t but until now i still haven't seen one. I was able to download a firmware that says it was suppose to be for uj-811 it's h102 but when i try to run it it says that the supported drive is not connected.
Those disc your using made by nanya are not very good and more than likely the reason for your power calibration error. You need to use some better media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. I think this will solve your problem. Good luck on the firmware update with Matshita (panasonic) I have one in my laptop. Still haven't found one for mine. The one you probably saw is for the uj-811 - there are 2 listed - both have the same version #'s but one is for a drive in the nec laptop. here's the link: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1750 The error you getting is more than likely telling you this is the incorrect firmware for your drive.
