Hi everyone, *just background info*** Right now I have a Dell laptop, it is slightly broken (the hinge that lifts the laptop screen is broken, so whenever I want to use it, I have to prop the screen against something like a wall so it doesnt fall down.) Anyway, this repair might cost alot, and my laptop's DVD burner gave out as well, not to mention the age of the laptop (5yrs.. it has nice specs but still, a little old.) */background info*** Anyhow, I am looking for advice on what is one of the best entertainment laptops out there. What I'm looking for is the best laptop to view DVD's on, and burn with. So I guess this would encompass, what kind of screen is the best kind (this old laptop has to be played with so when lying on a bed or couch it has to be adjusted for my angle so the img is viewable; i've noticed newer one's look great and crystal clear from any angle.) Next I'd assume is normal specs like mhz, hd space, etc (more the better obviously.) But any advice on what laptop has good durability too? What company I should go with. I'm good with tech stuff; but any company that is good w/ customers and their hardware broken laptops? Such as my Dell laptop took a fall about 2yrs ago, it took 2weeks total from the day it broke until I got it back in the mail; which I consider great. And Dell didn't try to scam me either; saying Ohh we can't repair this or such. Thank you! *edit Also I'd like to keep my comp TV compatiable, for the TV-in plugs so I can watch TV on my comp, and ready for any tech changes to be made so I can just update instead of switching motherboards or such- if possible. I'd like to keep the pcmcia cards down to none for the future.

I thought that that you might be interested to know that I successfully replaced my laptop moniter cover with another I bought on Ebay. It was very easy I had no experience and it cost me about 25 bucks. It was a Dell inspiron about five years old and the same stupid hatch thing happened to me. Oh yeah and about two weeks later I got leak in my apartment roof and i fried the laptop. Just wanted you to know its an easy fix, if you want to keep the Dell around.
