Cyberhome DVR1200 Recordings failing

    I have tried to record to two movies off TV, and I have used the LP mode because the movies are 3 hours. I turn it on to watch the movie and it says unknown disk. I go to the recording screen timer, and it says recording has failed. I used a FujiFolm DVD-R and an Imation DVD-RW. What am I going wrong/ I have recorded other programs and they have recorded. Please Help.

    have u tried dvd+r like it says on the box I am looking at????
