I just began burining with Shrink, and Decrypter. My DVD RW will only burn DVD+R. I was told to search the model of my burner and download the "firmware" to enable the burner to burn DVD-R's. When I download the firmware I choose to run it and the first thing it asks me is which location, destination, drive, something like that, do I want to use. My DVD RW drive is the e drive so I tried to put e: but that didn't seem to be what it was looking for. What to I put in that space to allow me to continue with the firmware upgrade?

Never heard that a firmwaree upgrade can turn a DVD+R burner to a DVD-R burner also. My poor knowwledge says that's impossible because changes the hardware concept. CLV vs CRV mode which means constant linear velocity against constant angle velocity. To set the bit rate to an other format is an other story. So If I'm wrong please notify me that the only restriction is about the firmware. The usual mesage is "invalid media".
