Hi again, not been on here for a while, but you managed to get me working before so I'm back for more advice! I'm having a problems creating DVD's from mpeg2 with Nero. To be fair this also happened when I tried it with ulead movie factory, but Nero the main tool I use. The PC has just been rebuilt with new drives, and has very limited software on it at the moment so it should all be working fine. I've unistalled Nero and Ulead, and then tried to do this with just either of them installed, but I still get the same thing. I've been using hauppage winTV-PVR150 to turn all my video 8 home movies to mpeg2. This seems to work fine as I can play them on the PC with no problems. When I try to create DVD's using Nero I get a message that the application has to shut down and I get the option to send an error report to Microsoft. It seems to happen when I either add a single large mpeg (3-4gig), or multiple smaller mpegs, to the project. The system requirements for the PVR are PentiumĀ® III processor 1.2GHz or faster, 128MB RAM and 10GB disk drive minimum. My PC is 1600 Sempron, 256DDR ram, 80Gig + 250Gig so I should be fine on that. Any advice? Thanks in advance
Its not just nero, its affecting ulead as well, but Nero is the application I use to burn DVD's. I just tried ulead to see if I could get it to burn with that. The error I get is that the application has experienced a problem and is shutting down. If you opt to see the error report its just a load of code. It seems to be related to the size of the files I'm trying to burn. A friend has the same version of Nero and is not having the problem I can burn DVD's for backing up data etc, its just when i try to create a dvd from my home movie mpeg2's
