Can anyone help me please, I have been using nero 7 ultra successfully since xmas time, then the nero vision aspect became corrupt, I unstalled and reinstalled successfully but then when I reboot nero trys to start installing again but tell me a tep file path is missing. I try to cancel yet it keeps trying to install, I have uninstalled again, deleted the nero directory in programs, cleaned with nero clean and ran reg mechanic to clean registry. I installed again, everything went ok , booted up the next day and yes the problem is still there!! any ideas anyone?....
Im on XP home edition, running service pk 2. I tried shutting down internet connection, disabling norton 2005 and closed down spsweeper during another install last night, but same thing again, it all seems fine, installs successfully then turn the pc on the next day and the install starts up but wont continue after half way due to network temp file missing?
Are you trying to install the same copy of Nero 7 each time or have you gone to the Nero website and downloaded a 'clean' version, and installed that one? As you have already cleaned with Nero clean tools there should be nothing left of the corrupted version. Just in case go to Program Files, and look for any 'Ahead' or 'Nero' folders that might be left behind and delete them. Then run a search looking for any files that may have been left behind and if any are found delete them (including any prefetch files). Then go and download a completely new Nero 7, disconnect from the net, disable 'bloatware' Norton plus Webroots Spysweeper and any other program that may interfere with the installation and cross your fingers and see how you go. thanks philraz & umug, I use tried the clean tool again then downloaded as advised a different install of Nero from th e ahead website, I then place my serial number in and it installed, rebooted the pc and no problems with it trying to install again, appreciate your help, will now try and burn to see if I get a result.
