Thanks, I use the burner externally because its for my lap top and plug it in via the firewire port on the front, Will this cause a problem when trying to update the firmware?? Do I need to put the burner in a proper computer to add this?? Thanks
Updating your firmware is a delicate operation ! But if you do not have any problems using the burner while connected to your laptop, i would guess it is worth a try ! However if you have the possibility to hook up the burner alone on the Secondary channel as a Master by itself on your Pc -- this would prevent a bad update. Pioneer website has an excellent support section ; maybe you could ask there, if you are worried about this.
